Despite all of this, Aldo and Vera are firmly convinced that there is still hope and that we are still in time to make a change if we all unite and act quickly. We live in a finite planet but people have the means and technology to come together and thrive within the resources provided by Earth, coexisting with animals and Nature for a better and more sustainable future for us all and the future generations to come.

They became more active on their Social Media network and created  Alveto Expedition. The word “ Alveto” comes from the combination of the first two letters of their names:  Aldo, Vera & Toto’.  Starting with Instagram   and facebook  they were posting regular updates of their trip showing how beautiful but at the same time how fragile our world is by often adding content related to Environmental Concerns and Animals Welfare.

They decided that upon the completion of their Expedition, and once returned to Europe, they would set up a Charity organization and realize a series of projects they had in mind in order to put to good use the knowledge accumulated and to do their best to give back as much as possible to Planet Earth, our home.

In March 2020 as they were finalizing the shipment of Toto’ to South Africa to explore their last continent, the world went into a lockdown due to the Pandemic of Covid-19. Major travel restrictions considerably slowed down the expedition and this time was used to set up a YouTube channel, a platform that would give them the opportunity not just to create better contents but also to anticipate the start of their projects.

Alveto Expedition is side by side with Try to Give Back as it represents not just the spark of the idea that created the charity in the first place but it is an ongoing project that directly contributes into funding the organization.
